Dr. Brian Carey was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado and received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, and attended the Geisinger Medical Center in central Pennsylvania for fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Carey spent the first ten years of his career at Heritage Valley Health System in Beaver, Pennsylvania and is excited to join Cardiovascular Disease Specialists in July, 2017.
His practice includes general cardiology, interventional cardiology, and interpretation of echocardiography and nuclear imaging. Dr. Carey also is experienced in the diagnosis and endovascular management of peripheral vascular disease.
Dr. Carey is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Carey enjoys running and spending time with his wife and two sons when not practicing medicine.
